Octogenarians and nonagenarians in the municipality received cash grants from the government through the Expanded Centenarians Act of 2024. The beneficiaries received Php 10,000.00 in cash each during the awarding of cash grants at the Municipal Training Center.

The Regional Cluster II of the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Project Development Officers Mark Roger Bryan Boaquina, Suzette Orlanes, Municipal Social Welfare Office head Guiller Artates, and OIC-Mayor Hon. Randy Britanicoc led the cash distribution.

Under the Expanded Centenarians Act of 2024, senior citizens who reached the milestone ages of 80, 85, 90 and 95, whether living in the Philippines or abroad, will be given Php 10,000.00.
