In recognition and celebration of women’s exceptional contributions to agriculture, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 02 (DA RFO 02), through its Gender and Developpment Focal Point System (GFPS), held the 3rd Women in Agriculture Congress cum Recognition of Outstanding Women Farmers with the theme “Women in Agriculture: Growing Beyond Boundaries” held March 26, 2025.

Ms. Lil Joy Vea and Ms. Jolina Rivera were recognized as one of the Outstanding Women Farmers of Region 02 and Ms. Hervy I. Garma won 1st Runner-up in the 2024 Regional Search for Outstanding Rural Women; while Flow of Pariir Agriculture Cooperative was recognized for their dedication and active involvement in the various activities of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02.

The Municipality of Cabatuan headed by Mayor Charlton L. Uy thru the initiative of the Lgu-cabatuan Municipal Agriculturist headed by Ms. Rhiyan M. Simon continues to support DA programs and projects that are gender-responsive, ensuring women have equal opportunities in agriculture.
